If this other cartridge works, then the issue is with the new cartridge. This can be an empty cart, or just an old one laying around. To determine if this is your issue, try a different cart that you know has worked with your pen before. This means that the hardware doesn't line up correctly with the heating element of the battery, forcing the error. It can be nearly impossible to tell by looking at it, but now and again legitimate dispensary cartridges will, unfortunately, have a deformed coil. If your cartridge is just simply not compatible with a 510 threaded battery, it might be time to look for a new brand! Sometimes you can solve this issue by simply tightening or loosening the cartridge until you find that sweet spot that makes a good connection. If this doesn’t work, it could be because your cartridge is an irregular size or has a deformed coil. Once clean, screw the cartridge back on the device.
